Project Engineer for Real Estate Development and Construction
Location: Dublin, OH
Employment Type: Full-time opportunity
Reports to: VP of Construction
Job Overview:
Seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our real estate development and construction team. The
Project Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring that our construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the
highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate development, construction management, and
engineering, with a strong ability to coordinate between various stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and municipal
authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
Assist the VP of Construction in all aspects of real estate development, including the development and review of project
plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
Monitor project timelines and ensure compliance with all milestones.
Design and Engineering Support:
Review and interpret project designs, blueprints, and specifications.
Provide technical support and recommendations during the design and construction phases.
Ensure that all engineering and construction practices adhere to safety standards and regulations.
Construction Management:
Support Superintendent with on-site construction activities, ensuring work is performed according to plans and specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety protocols.
Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
Cost Management:
Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets.
Track and report on project costs, identifying any variances and recommending corrective actions.
Review and approve invoices, change orders, and other financial documents related to the project.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, permits, and construction drawings.
Prepare regular progress reports for management and stakeholders.
Ensure that all project documentation is filed and archived according to company standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Real Estate or a related field is preferred
Prior Co-Op / Internship experience on projects ranging in value from 1 million to 25 million
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and clients
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Project and Excel
Experience with Project Management and Scheduling software
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Detail oriented and high organizational skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel to and work on construction sites, including walking, standing, and climbing as needed, with reliable
transportation.
Compensation:
Salary Range: $70-95k, depending on experience
